Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a medical-surgical unit specializing in telemetry at a healthcare facility located in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves providing care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, post-operative cardiac care, and management of cardiac drips and dysrhythmias. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse, ACLS certification, BLS certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification with Cerner experience, and 2 years of relevant nursing experience. Experience in telemedicine and float responsibilities (all except M3) are required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 27 beds with patient ratios of approximately 1:4-5. Equipment includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and EKG machines. The electronic health record platforms used are Omnicell and Cerner. The patient population encompasses general medical-surgical care, pediatrics, dialysis, cardiac drips, post-cardiac procedures, and arrhythmias including stroke, CHF, and atrial fibrillation.
