Description
Job Summary:
This opportunity is for a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery in the Las Colinas area of Irving, Texas. The role involves providing patient care on a labor and delivery unit, requiring candidates to hold an active Texas registered nurse license and bring this license on the first day. The position offers a 12-hour shift schedule, with a total of 36 guaranteed hours per week, including four weekend shifts per month.
Job Details:
- Location: Irving, TX
- Position: RN Labor and Delivery (L&D)
- Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted), 2+ years of labor and delivery experience, Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Facility using Meditech electronic medical record system
- Preferred Qualifications: American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) or Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certifications or advanced skills
- Responsibilities include circulating during cesarean sections and other high-risk obstetric procedures.
- Additional information: The unit typically has 12 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, staffed with one unit technician per shift and one unit secretary on day shifts.
- Dress Code: Facility provides scrubs. Hair must be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
- Floating: As needed.
- Attendance policies and other unit-specific guidelines apply.
