Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Operating Room (OR) in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing surgical nursing care within a busy OR unit that includes multiple specialties. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

Location: Wausau, WI
Position: RN - Operating Room
Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Schedule: 8-hour variable shifts, including a mix of 0700-1530, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930 shifts, with weekend call responsibilities and holiday rotation.
Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks, starting 08/31/2026
Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License; Associate Degree or Certificate (Bachelors Degree preferred); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 5+ years OR experience including at least 1 travel assignment; experience in a larger facility with comparable ORs of 20; circulating nurse required, scrub preferred; Da Vinci Robotic experience required; Trauma Level II experience required; must have own vehicle and cannot rely on Uber/Lyft due to on call responsibilities.
Additional Information: Must have experience with Epic electronic medical record system; flexibility, excellent work ethic, resilience, adaptability to change, and social skills are desired.
Float requirements: Aspirus Merrill, Aspirus Langlade, Aspirus Medford, and Aspirus Stanley, if needed.
On Call/Call-Back: 6-8 nights of weeknight call and 1-2 weekend shifts during the contract. 30-minute response time required. Call back minimum of 2 hours; may be put on call during low census hours with eligible unbillable hours.
Vaccinations: Flu and COVID vaccination mandates; mask-wearing during flu season if vaccines are declined.
Charting/Equipment: Epic preferred.
