Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing individualized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and stability during the post-operative period. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment. This position entails working a schedule of four 10-hour days, starting at 9:00 AM, with no weekend shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4 x 10 days, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and at least 2 years of PACU RN experience, preferably in a high-acuity hospital or ICU setting.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, all with valid expiration dates uploaded with application.
• Experience: Two years PACU RN experience required. Experience in a high acute care hospital or ICU is preferred.
• Patient Ratio: 2 patients during day shifts, with potential float to other campuses if needed.
• Additional Qualifications: Proficiency in clinical skills such as End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, managing anticoagulation therapy, arterial lines, and post-anesthesia procedures is desired.
• Travel Requirement: Yes, travel experience is required.
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required.
• Onboarding & Compliance: Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing, and provide 7-year work history verification. All documents due 10 days prior to start.
• Other Details: No separation time required for return staff/travelers. References obtained within the last year are necessary.
