Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS RN) in Marion, Illinois. This position involves working on a 36-bed medical/surgical/orthopedics unit, providing care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires confident and independent nursing skills, with a focus on delivering quality patient care during 12-hour days.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical Nurse (MS RN) Days Marion, IL
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 am 7:30 pm)
• Schedule: Days shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Certifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse License (no pending licenses or temps), American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
• Charting System: EPIC required
• Unit Details: 36-bed unit, including medical/surgical and orthopedic cases; patient ratios are 1:5 with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), which can also shift to 1:4 in case of staffing issues
• Float: Float to Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to manage Medical holds only
• On-Call Requirements: None
• Weekend/Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
