Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care is needed in Marion, Illinois. This position involves working on a med/surg/ortho unit, with a focus on providing confident and independent nursing care. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in medical/surgical settings, charting proficiency in Electronic Patient Record (EPIC), and active Illinois RN licensure. The position is scheduled for day shifts, and candidates are expected to adhere to the specified schedule and unit requirements.
Job Details:
- Location: Marion, Illinois
- Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS)
- Shift: 12-hour days (7 am - 7:30 pm)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, guaranteed, except during holidays when the unit is closed
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending licenses or temporary licenses), AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience, charting experience with Electronic Patient Record (EPIC), associate degree or certificate in nursing, residence in Illinois
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Emergency Department/Intensive Care Unit to care for Medical holds only
- Additional Information: Ratios are 1:5 with a CNA, potentially 1:4 in cases of staffing shortages. The unit requires hard-working, resilient, adaptable, and social candidates accustomed to managing change. Scrub color required: Navy Blue. Covid-19 vaccination is not required, subject to change. GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week; hours are guaranteed except during holidays when the unit is closed.
- Submission Requirements: Active Illinois RN license and AHA BLS certification must be attached upon submittal.
