The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Floor at a healthcare facility in Cortez, Colorado. Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor
• Location: Cortez, Colorado
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire, successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate degree required with a Bachelor's degree preferred
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse Licensure within the state of Colorado; Compact license accepted, Colorado license must be obtained within first 90 days of hire
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year ICU/Inpatient experience preferred; no minimum experience required for other aspects of the role
• Skills: Basic computer knowledge, strong organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, active listening, strong communication skills
• Role Responsibilities: Administer nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, supervise non-professional staff, assist physicians, monitor patient status, utilize technology for documentation, follow safety and infection control standards, participate in departmental and educational activities, respond to patient needs promptly, and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team
• Additional Unit Specific Duties: Includes ICU procedures, fetal monitoring, advanced cardiac monitoring, trauma procedures, newborn care, and other specialized functions as outlined in the detailed job description
• Physical and Environmental Demands: Potential exposure to infectious waste, chemicals, moderate noise levels, varying environmental conditions, and physical exertion including lifting and movement as required
