Job Summary:
A registered nurse position is available in a Step Down Unit located in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves providing care in a diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses, supporting both floor and step-down patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Morgantown, WV
• Specialty: Step Down Unit
• Schedule: 12-hour dayshift; 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Required Qualifications: Valid license; minimum of 1 year of RN experience; must have EPIC electronic medical record experience; BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling 6 patients in medical-surgical or 3 patients in step-down care; ability to titrate drips such as heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbitol, ketamine, PCA medications, TPN; experience with CPAP, BiPAP, vents, and telemetry monitoring equipment (Phillips) is preferred
• Additional Information: RNs will have orders written to titrate drips. The unit operates with charge RNs and house supervisors 24/7; float rotation may be required, including being first to float to other units. The unit employs nurse aides (Clinical Associates) at a ratio of approximately 1:10. All staff are expected to adhere to the dress code of royal blue and white scrubs.
