Description

Job Summary:
An ICU Nurse position is available in Chandler, Arizona. This role involves providing critical care in a Surgical, Medical, or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit within a 36-bed facility. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of three years of recent ICU experience, including either neuro or cardiovascular specialization, with experience in titrating IV drips. The ICU operates 24/7 with self-scheduling shifts for nights and weekends.

Job Details:

  • Location: Chandler, AZ
  • Shift Hours: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications (Certifications, Education, Experience): Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); minimum of 3 years recent ICU experience including neuro or cardiovascular experience; experience with titrating common IV drips such as Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, vasopressors, insulin, heparin, and others.
  • Schedule: Self-scheduling; 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule, with weekend nights on Friday-Saturday and day shifts on Saturday-Sunday. May have up to one holiday off per assignment.
  • Clinical responsibilities include interpreting own electrocardiogram strips, managing critically ill patients, and working with diverse patient populations such as trauma, neuro, CV, and post-surgical cases.
  • Additional Information: Will validate skills for trauma, neuro, and specialty devices as needed. Candidates must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule and may not be employed in any affiliated facilities within the past year. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
