Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position is located in Stanford, California. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to critically ill patients within the scope of practice defined by regulatory standards and hospital policies. The ICU Nurse will perform all aspects of the nursing process, collaborating with the healthcare team, supporting patients and families, and ensuring high-quality, family-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university is preferred, and at least 1 year of nursing experience in acute care settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting, certifications relevant to critical care (e.g., CCRN) are a plus.
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to rapidly analyze complex clinical situations, respond promptly, and activate emergency protocols when necessary. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, commitment to lifelong learning, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The position involves continuous monitoring of patient data, providing direct patient and family education, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
