Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) Nursing is sought for a unit focused on neurological patient care located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Candidates are expected to possess current Illinois nursing licensure and relevant certifications. The role involves day shift coverage, and candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) with Neuro focus
• Schedule: 12-hour Day shift from 0700 to 1900, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Nursing License, Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and at least 2 years of strong medical-surgical experience, preferably with neuro patient population, including stroke, neurosurgical (spine, cranial, ENT), and seizure patients. EMR: EPIC Charting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC EMR system, neuro patient care experience.
• Float: As Needed to other medical-surgical units.
• Additional Information: Nurse-to-Patient Ratio of 1/5 or 1/6, neuro patient population, including but not limited to stroke patients, neurosurgical patients, and seizure patients.
• Orientation: Wednesdays and Thursdays, with credentials due Thursday before start. Orientation hours: 10 hours nonbillable; 8 hours for EPIC training, 12 hours on unit.
• Submission Requirements: Updated resume, Skills Checklist completed within 12 months, one reference completed within 12 months, Illinois License Verification.
