Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical Floor (MS) position is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The role involves working in a Neuro patient population with diverse neurological conditions, including stroke, neurosurgical, and seizure patients. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, EPIC charting experience, and 2+ years of strong Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with neuro patient populations, including but not limited to stroke, neurosurgical (spine, cranial, ENT), and seizure patients.
• Float: As needed to other Medical Surgical units.
• Additional Information: Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1/5 or 1/6. Orientation occurs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with credentials due the Thursday before the start date. Orientation hours include 10 hours of non-billable time, consisting of 8 hours for EPIC training and 12 hours on the unit. Submission requirements include an updated resume, skills checklist (completed within 12 months), one reference (completed within 12 months), and Illinois license verification.
