Description

Job Summary
Telecommunications Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology in a Night shift position. This role involves administering chemotherapy and providing care for oncology patients. The nurse will be responsible for demonstrating competency in chemotherapy administration, including complex medication hangings, and meeting certification requirements. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and participation in chemotherapy didactics and training.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shift with 12 hours per day and a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS certification; minimum of 2 years of oncology-related experience, experience with chemotherapy administration, ONS certification, EPIC electronic medical records experience, and the ability to hang complex chemotherapy medications
Preferred Qualifications: Certification from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), certification in chemotherapy administration, experience with EPIC EMR system, oncology certification (OCN), and completed modules for chemotherapy hang and didactics for new oncology nurses
Additional Information: The role includes completing all chemotherapy modules for new nurses preparing to work on the oncology floor. Candidates will be scheduled for an 8-hour didactic session plus two days of hands-on chemo hang training with an oncology nurse.
