Job Summary:
A Cardiac Stepdown Nurse position is available in Rock Island, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care within a Stepdown / Progressive Care unit, supporting the interdisciplinary team with professional and clinical expertise. Candidates are required to bring their active Illinois nursing license on the first day of assignment. The position is suitable for first-time travelers and requires a commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Location: Rock Island, Illinois
• Specialty: Step Down Unit
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift (Day and Night shifts available)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; OT billable after 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active Illinois nursing license at the time of submission
  • Minimum 24 months of current Stepdown / Progressive Care experience
  • Two years of prior Cardiac Stepdown experience
  • Skills checklist specific to Stepdown / Progressive Care discipline
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
  • Valid drivers license
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • References from recent supervisors or managers within 24 months
• Additional Information:
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • The on-call requirement is not applicable
  • The role involves flexible assignment considerations based on cardiac experience levels, with a focus on safety and quality of care
• Submission Requirements:
  • Work history/resume/employment history
  • Professional references from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within 24 months
  • Valid drivers license
