Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Freeport, Illinois. This role involves providing urgent care to a diverse patient population, including neonates to geriatrics, with a focus on critical and emergent conditions. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Freeport, Illinois
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, with flexibility to rotate start times. Typical shifts include 7p-7a, 7a-7p, 10-10, 11-11p, 12-midnight, and 7p-7a.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours
• Qualifications: Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required to submit. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). A minimum of 3 years of ER experience with moderate sedation and experience handling critical care drips is required.
• Experience: 3+ years of ER experience, including moderate sedation and critical care drip management.
• Responsibilities: Provide emergency care, perform blood draws with phlebotomy experience, assist with wound care, transport, and patient comfort measures. Nurses and techs handle blood draws; imaging is connected through double doors.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with a team to meet the unit's needs, including potential holiday shifts. Travelers with previous employment at any affiliated location must disclose this information during submission. Flexibility in working various shifts is essential, with potential to float to other units such as Medical-Surgical or Telemetry and assist with various departmental duties.
