Description

Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients within the NICU, requiring adherence to clinical protocols and supporting families through critical care processes. Candidates are required to bring their licensed RN certification on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Spokane, Washington
  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid Allied license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience working in neonatal intensive care, experience with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3, proficiency in Epic electronic charting system, and at least 3 patient ratio experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior community hospital experience is desirable.
  • Additional Information:
    • The position involves floating between units, including all units with focus on patients under 2 years old on pediatric units.
    • No on-call requirement; weekend work is scheduled on a variable basis.
    • Candidates must have experience with a comprehensive list of neonatal procedures and equipment, including ventilation management, NICU-specific therapies, and developmental care.
    • The facility does not require coverage beyond the end of September, with a scheduled start date of 07/27/2026.
    • All travelers must be prepared to float between nearby facilities, and refusal to float may result in contract termination or loss of guaranteed hours.
    • Submission requires disclosure of prior employment at a similar facility, with at least two references covering one year within the last three years.
    • Vaccination specifics: COVID-19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccination status is unknown.
