Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery (CVOR) in Leesburg, Florida. The position involves providing advanced nursing care in the operating room, particularly for open heart procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role offers an 8-hour day shift and is part of a contract scheduled from 07/29/2026 to 10/26/2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Leesburg, Florida
• Schedule: 8-hour day shift from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Travel Required: Yes
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Required Qualifications: 2-3 years as a Registered Nurse with prior travel experience, recent cardiac open heart experience within the last 12 months, LICENSURE: Florida or Compact license included in candidate file at time of submission, Certifications: BLS required, TNCC preferred, Epic electronic medical record experience required, experience must include neuro and vascular cases, flexibility for some weekends and call is essential
• Additional Information: Interviews conducted by the Unit Manager, processing may take up to 14 business days, no RTO during the first two weeks, maximum of 8 days RTO for the 13-week contract, vaccinations required including seasonal influenza with medical exemptions allowed, exemption forms must be submitted with the application, staff declining vaccination must complete an educational module.
• Bill Rate: $115.00 before administrative fees
• Submission Requirements: UF Health Vaccine Exemption Request form must be submitted with the application
