Job Summary
The facility is seeking a Surgical Technician specializing in Orthopedic (ORT) procedures in Skokie, Illinois. The role involves working in a busy specialty hospital focused on orthopedic and spine surgeries. The technician will assist in procedures that include spine surgeries with pedicle screws and anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). The position offers a dynamic environment with a high-volume surgical schedule, requiring a dedicated and experienced professional.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician, with shoulder or spine surgery experience including pedicle screws and ACDF. Current BLS certification is necessary; NBSTSA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling spine surgeries, robotic-assisted orthopedic procedures such as Mako, Rosa, or Cori, and knowledge of fast-paced surgical environments.
• Additional Requirements: Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital. Must be available for call on rotating weekends, holidays, and be on call approximately 6-8 times in a six-week period. Call hours include a minimum two-hour callback. Orientation consists of 10 hours; credential submissions are due by the Thursday prior to start, including TB tests and relevant screenings within 90 days of start date.
