Job Summary:
This RN position is located in the Intermediate Care Unit within the Cardiac Stepdown specialty in St. Louis, Missouri. The role involves providing direct patient care for post-operative cardiac patients, including those who have undergone CABG, valve surgeries, thoracotomies, respiratory failure, and chest pain management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: 10010 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, MO 63128
• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a focus on Cardiac Stepdown
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (eligible or currently licensed in Missouri), BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Stepdown experience
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, collaborates with other departments, and adheres to hospital standards. The unit has 32 beds, with patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4, and is equipped to manage chest tubes, temp pacemakers, and BiPAPs. The EMR system used is EPIC. Float requirements are as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit.
• Vaccinations: Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemptions required. All contingency requests must be submitted on the designated form.
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Experience: 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Stepdown experience is required.
• Shift Details: Nights, working from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
