Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position located in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized care to cardiac and telemetry patients, including those with implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), pacemakers, and post-surgical vascular patients. Candidates are required to bring their Iowa license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 24 months minimum of experience in Telemetry, Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care. Active Iowa license or multistate license required at the time of submission. Certifications in BLS and ACLS (AHA) required. EMR experience with EPIC preferred. Equipment experience with Alaris IV pump and wound vac. Experience caring for ICD and pacemaker patients, post-CABG, and vascular surgical patients. Cardiac rhythm experience and Level II trauma experience are highly preferred. No first-time travelers accepted; candidates must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC EMR, cardiac drip/titration, and experience with cardiac rhythm management.
• Additional Information: Candidates must submit a professional reference from within the past 24 months and have a drivers license. May be required to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
