Description
Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Frisco, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art unit that is opening on October 15th. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves caring for critically ill infants requiring specialized equipment and interventions.
Job Details:
- Location: Frisco, TX
- Shift: Weekend every other shift (12-hour shifts)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ACTIVE RN LICENSE, BLS, NRP, STABLE certification, minimum of 2 years of hospital or specialty experience, and experience with care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation, central line management, stabilization, attending deliveries, and developmental care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE bedside monitors and GE beds (Giraffe and Panda Warmers), Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, Neomed and Medfusion feeding and medication pumps, Meditech and CPNS documentation systems.
- Additional Information: The unit will have a minimum of 2 NICU RNs per shift, staffed with 24/7 in-house neonatal nurse practitioners, OB hospitalists, and anesthesiologists. The units equipment includes advanced neonatal and maternal monitoring technologies.
- Procedures: Assist with line placement, circumcision, and intubation.
- Patient Experience: Focus on family-centered care.
- Dress Code: Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare scrubs, clean and healthy nails (no polish or artificial nails), neat hair with no extreme styles or colors, covered tattoos, restricted piercings, and no perfumes or lotions.
- Unit Guidelines/Policies: Possibility to float to the Newborn Nursery.
- Attendance Policies: Adherence to the company-wide attendance policy.
- Other Notes: The unit features the newest equipment and a skilled, team-oriented nursing staff.
