Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Saint Augustine, Florida. This role involves providing specialized care to pregnant patients and newborns within a Labor & Delivery department. The position offers a 12-hour night shift schedule and requires a minimum of two years of clinical experience in labor and delivery. The assignment is scheduled to start on 08/03/2026 and will last for 13 weeks.
Job Details:
- Position: Labor & Delivery RN
- Location: Saint Augustine, Florida
- Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shift, hours from 1845 to 0715, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Assignment Dates: 08/03/2026 to 10/31/2026 (13 weeks)
- Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience, 2 years of clinical experience in total, and experience with trauma level I facilities.
- Certifications: Valid certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE required.
- Skills & Procedures: Circulating in the Operating Room, scheduled and unscheduled C-Sections, emergency C-Sections, Emergency Dilation and Curettage (D&C), emergency Hysterectomy procedures, Phlebotomy, Lab draws, IV starts, magnesium and Pitocin infusions, epidural catheter removal, fetal monitoring equipment experience, and use of Alaris IV pumps.
- Patient Population: Pregnant patients, childbearing age population, newborn transition care with NRP certification required.
- Support & Environment: Primary nursing with interdisciplinary team-based care, 24/7 respiratory and anesthesia services support, EMR: Epic, hospital-provided scrubs required, closed-toe non-permeable shoes mandatory, and adherence to facility dress code policies.
- Additional Notes: No requested time off within the first two weeks of assignment; medical and religious exemption requests for influenza vaccinations are permitted.
