Description

Job Summary:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care at a medical facility located in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves supporting cardiovascular cases within the Critical Care Unit and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. Candidates should have the necessary certifications and experience as specified.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Antonio, TX
  • Shift: Nights, with hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, rotating based on schedule
  • Schedule: 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification, 2+ years of ICU experience, proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (swan, art lines), ventilator management, strong critical thinking skills, and Meditech electronic medical record system experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: IABP exposure, CRRT exposure, experience with Meditech charting and order entry
  • Float: Float rotation may be required for all travelers
  • Additional Information: Candidates must adhere to dress code requirements (navy scrub top and pants, scrub jacket), maintain a neat and clean appearance, and cover tattoos and body art whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Clock in time is 6:38 AM/PM, and punctuality is expected.
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Procedures Performed: Post coronary artery bypass graft surgery, post ventricular assist device, post cardiac catheterization with support devices such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
