Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Los Alamos, New Mexico. This role involves providing patient care in a 3-bed unit primarily serving adult patients, with experience in the PACU setting required. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of the assignment. The position offers a consistent day shift, with some call on nights and weekends.
Job Details:
- Location: Los Alamos, NM
- Unit Type: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
- Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Years of Experience: 2 years in PACU
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 2 years PACU experience, certifications as listed, and New Mexico fingerprinting compliance
- Additional Information: Orientation is weekly on Mondays. Candidates must be located at least 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered. All Clinical Staff must undergo fingerprinting and background checks through the New Mexico Department of Health. Travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while awaiting background check results.
