Job Summary:
Mauston, Wisconsin - The Charge Nurse position on the Medical Surgical Floor is responsible for coordinating and evaluating the delivery of safe and effective patient care across various departments. This role acts as a nursing resource and liaison for patients, visitors, and hospital departments, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

• Required Qualifications: Two-year degree in nursing; Wisconsin Registered Nursing license; BLS certification (must be obtained within 1 month of hire); ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (must be obtained within 12 months of hire); 3+ years related work experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The Charge Nurse oversees communication related to patient care coordination, conducts daily rounds, manages flow between departments, mentors staff, assists with patient placement and staffing, and may assist with direct patient care as needed. Activation and management of Incident Command in a Mass Casualty Incident is also part of the responsibilities.
