Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a position in the Labor & Delivery unit located in Rochester, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during general surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves supporting the surgical team, maintaining a sterile environment, and responding to emergent situations.
Job Details:
- Location: Rochester, Michigan
- Schedule: 3 days a week, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or becoming BLS certified within one month of start date; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); at least 2 years of experience, with one year preferred in Surgical Technologist roles; valid license to practice.
- Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Experience in a Labor & Delivery unit preferred; physical ability to lift and move patients; work may include exposure to communicable diseases, odors, and hazardous gases; prolonged standing and walking required.
