Job Summary:
A labor and delivery (L&D) Charge Nurse position is available in San Jose, California. The role involves overseeing a 16-bed unit within an open-batient setting, providing leadership and ensuring quality patient care during obstetrical emergencies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: San Jose, California
• Shift Details: Nights, 3 twelve-hour shifts (no 6 in a row), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California licensure, 4+ years of experience in labor and delivery, strong leadership skills, ability to stay calm during obstetrical emergencies, charge nurse experience, certifications including AWHONN Intermediate or higher, ACLS, experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and C-Section procedures performed on unit, knowledge of hospital policies and guidelines, and ability to handle escalate concerns during rounding.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hospital-specific policies and familiarity with Meditech for order entry and CPN documentation system.
