Job Summary
A Registered Nurse specializing in Inpatient Oncology is required at a healthcare facility located in San Francisco, California. This position involves working on a Medical Surgical Oncology Floor with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts. Candidates must bring their California RN license on the first day. The role encompasses a wide range of oncology nursing procedures, including administration of chemotherapy, management of ports and central lines, and patient care coordination in a complex inpatient setting.
Job Details
- Location: San Francisco, CA
- Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California RN license, BSN degree, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Chemo (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation/Oncology Nursing Certification Commission). A minimum of 2 years inpatient oncology experience is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN*
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient oncology experience; BMT experience preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have completed references in hand at the time of submission, including two references from most recent employers. Vaccinations required include COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine.
- Facility & Patient Care Details:
- Involves highly specialized oncology procedures such as administration of chemotherapy, management of graft-versus-host disease, and handling of chemotherapy-related adverse events.
- Experience with EMR: Epic
- Patient care includes adults and geriatrics with diverse diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and others requiring complex treatment protocols.
- Floating to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius may be required at any time during the assignment.
- Orientation is scheduled at 4:00 pm PST on the Monday before the start date of 08/18/2026.
