Description
Job Summary:
A Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician position is available in Louisville, Kentucky. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves assisting in various surgical procedures and supporting operating room activities within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Louisville, KY
- Shift Hours: 12 hours shifts, working 3 days of 0630-1900, 4 days of 0630-1700, or 3 days of 1030-2300, with minimum hours per week of 36
- Required Qualifications: No specific experience required beyond an interest in surgical technology; must have BLS certification; additional certifications such as CST are preferred. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating experience, Foley catheter management, chest tube management, AED experience, and proficiency in a variety of surgical cases including vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gynecology, carotid/endard. Robotics experience is a plus but not required.
- Schedule: The schedule includes rotating weekends based on unit needs and on-call responsibilities with a 40-minute response time.
- Additional Information: Free, badge access parking lot; scrub color is Ceil Blue; orientation includes a full week of NEO (Neonatal Enclosed Operating) or a 3-day orientation with specified shift times.
