Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department Nurse in Templeton, California, provides specialized care to women during childbirth and postpartum. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring adherence to established nursing standards and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. The position is represented by CNA and offers an opportunity to work in a community-focused facility setting.

Job Details:

• Location: Templeton, California
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Night Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, rotating shifts
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a school of nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years recent acute care RN experience in labor and delivery or a related specialty
  • Current RN license in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor within 6 months of hire or transfer
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course completed on hire and every two years thereafter
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum) care model
  • Knowledge of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course (to be completed within 6-8 months if new to L&D)
• Additional Information:
  • Actively participates in hospital committees such as Shared Governance
  • Promotes excellent patient, family, and team communication
  • Maintains professional licensure and certifications as required by state and hospital policies
  • Demonstrates safe practices, infection control, and effective communication with colleagues
  • Supports hospital policies and procedures, including safety and environmental standards
