Description
Job Summary:
This is an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) cardiovascular nursing position located in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves providing specialized critical care to cardiac and other ICU patients over a 13-week clinical assignment. The nurse will work a night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend. Candidates must have at least two years of nursing experience with travel and Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Birmingham, Alabama
- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 07/13/2026
- Required Qualifications: Completion of nursing degree, licensure appropriate for practice in Alabama, minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, travel experience, Cerner EMR experience, and a basic understanding of ICU protocols.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in cardiovascular ICU units, familiarity with advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification, excellent critical thinking skills, and ability to manage complex patient cases.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves providing specialized critical care nursing in a cardiovascular ICU setting within a designated hospital unit. Candidates must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle complex patient needs efficiently.
