Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supervising clinical staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and recovery. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 07/20/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to the first shift; minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; valid nursing license; located in Wisconsin; no minimum years of experience beyond required qualifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of personalized care plans.
    • Provides timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
    • Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and assists in discharge planning from day one of admission.
    • Communicates effectively with other healthcare providers to support continuity of care and patient safety.
    • Supervises and delegates to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
    • Contributes to a positive work environment through team building and effective communication.
    • Maintains professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
    • Follows all hospital guidelines regarding personal appearance, attendance, and safety protocols.
