Job Summary:
This medical surgical registered nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility located in Mountain Home, Idaho. The role involves providing patient care across a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics, with an emphasis on clinical excellence and adherence to safety protocols. The position offers 12-hour day shifts, with flexible scheduling options and the opportunity to float to related departments as needed.
Job Details:
- Location: Mountain Home, Idaho, 83647
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with weekends and holidays as needed. Managers will coordinate shift blocks, and staff may swap shifts.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or diploma in nursing, current nursing license, minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting, valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic charting system, read and interpret telemetry strips.
- Patient Population & Typical Conditions: Care for patients with pneumonia, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, post-hysterectomy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, neonatal bilirubin elevation, asthma exacerbation, and rehabilitation (SWING bed patients).
- Equipment & Support: RT equipment including CPAP and BiPAP, remote telemetry monitors, and patient care techs. RT staff set up and monitor respiratory devices.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have a permanent address outside of a 50-mile radius of the facility to ensure adherence to the radius rule. The initial orientation includes two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor. Float to labor and delivery (L&D) or emergency department (ED) may be required.
