Description
Job Summary:
A Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Lewes, Delaware. The role involves working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory with responsibilities including patient monitoring, scrubbing in procedures, and assisting with complex interventions such as ablations, pacers, and structural procedures. The position requires clinical expertise in cath lab procedures and adherence to safety and certification standards.
Job Details:
- Location: Lewes, Delaware
- Shift Schedule: 10-hour days from 06:30 to 17:00, with a four-day workweek and call responsibilities
- Required Qualifications: Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience, minimum of 2 years related experience, licensure applicable to the state, Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal, Infant, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (NIHSS)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cath, pacers, ablations, structural heart procedures, and peripheral interventions; familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system; proficiency in operating BOSTON SCI, MEDTRONIC, and similar equipment
- Responsibilities: Circulating and monitoring moderate sedation during cardiac catheterization procedures, assisting with ablations, pacers, and structural interventions, maintaining procedural safety and documentation, floating is not required for this role
- Certifications and Licensing: Valid RN license required; Certifications include BLS and ACLS; License to submit is mandatory for application
- Additional Information: The facility is a level 3 trauma setting with approximately 175 beds and three procedural rooms, performing up to 8 cases daily per room. This position is in an acute care environment, focusing exclusively on the cath lab with no floating to other units.
