Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This position involves providing comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including those undergoing open heart surgery. The RN is responsible for assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care, adhering to established standards and competencies, with opportunities to participate in shared decision-making and practice improvement initiatives.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota state nursing license; at least 2 years of clinical experience; current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); documentation of experience with fresh open heart surgery patients; interpretation of cardiac rhythms; experience with Impella and Balloon Pumps; adult and geriatric patient care experience; Epic electronic medical record system proficiency; work history current to 1 year; skills checklist pertinent to ICU nursing; two supervisory references with employment dates; if candidate is not eligible to work in the USA, this must be noted.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgery patients, Impella and Balloon Pumps.
  • Additional Information: RNs may be required to float to other intensive care units or medical/surgical units based on staffing needs. All requested time off (RTO) must be specified at the time of submission; late requests may not be honored.
