Description
Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including those undergoing open heart surgery, with a focus on cardiac rhythm interpretation, mechanical pump support, and critical patient management. The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) will deliver holistic care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to clinical standards within a fast-paced ICU setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from AHA or ARC; minimum of 1 year of relevant ICU experience, including experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients; expertise in interpretation of cardiac rhythms; experience with Impella devices and balloon pumps; proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with adult and geriatric populations; previous use of Epic EMR; familiarity with advanced cardiac support devices.
- Additional Information: Candidates must provide work history, including two supervisory references with employment dates. All RTO (requested time off) must be included at submission; RTO requests will not be honored after submission.
