Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Spokane, Washington. This assignment involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level II Trauma Center setting. The role demands a compassionate and experienced nurse capable of managing complex neonatal cases within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, at least 2 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), experience with charting in Epic electronic health record system, recent bedside experience in NICU, and ability to float between units, including pediatric units.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
- Additional Information: The NICU team manages ventilators and provides care for neonates from 29 to 34 weeks gestation, with responsibilities including invasive hemodynamic monitoring, management of respiratory distress syndrome, and family support. The role involves working with interdisciplinary support teams such as respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy. The assignment may involve float shifts between units, only covering patients under the age of 2 on pediatric units. Candidate must have recent bedside NICU experience and be able to meet strict compliance and scheduling requirements.
