Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a hospital-based setting. This role involves supervision of nursing staff, performing comprehensive patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans. The position emphasizes patient and staff safety, with a focus on clinical excellence and teamwork.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS Certification; ACLS Certification. Education: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience post-graduation, with experience in Stepdown, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The RN performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, participates in patient rehabilitation, initiates discharge planning, documents patient responses, and communicates effectively across care teams. Responsibilities include supervision of ancillary staff, ensuring safety standards, and contributing to a positive work environment. The position involves ongoing professional development and effective time management to meet patient care needs.
