Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse located in a community-focused healthcare organization. This role involves delivering specialized perioperative nursing care in a high-volume surgical setting. The OR Nurse supervises and coordinates with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient, and quality patient care throughout surgical procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The position is scheduled to start on 08/31/2026 and conclude on 11/29/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN); 1 year of experience in an acute care facility; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per organization policy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Operating Room (OR) experience preferred.
- Essential Functions: Provides specialized nursing care during surgical procedures, assesses patient needs, develops and implements perioperative care plans, collaborates with surgical team members, and facilitates patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery. Delegates tasks appropriately and participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Additional Information: Must have EPIC electronic medical record system experience. Call requirements include five call shifts within a six-week period, including weekends.
