Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), located in San Diego, California. This role involves floating across multiple units including PCU, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Telemetry (Telemetry), Medical Surgical (MS), and Emergency Department Inpatient Overflow (EDIP). The RN will support various patient populations with a focus on providing high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 07/13/2026, with a 4-week schedule sent two weeks in advance. No blocked or self-scheduling; RN will be contacted 2 hours prior to each shift regarding the specific facility.
  • Required Qualifications: Active California state license, 2 years of PCU experience, certifications including Chemo Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification. Experience with IV start, Telemetry, Phlebotomy, A-line, and community hospital settings preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: First-time travelers, LTAC experience, Trauma Level I and II experience, prior travel experience, proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system EPIC, and Pyxis medication system.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float within hospital and to affiliate hospitals based on census and unit requirements. All vaccinations, including COVID-19 (plus booster) and Flu, are required unless medical or religious exemptions are applicable. Submission includes two manager references, and candidates must adhere to RTO policies, including 7 days of allowable time off with documentation.
