Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in Shock Trauma at a healthcare facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves rotating day shifts (two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts) with responsibilities that include surgical assisting, patient care, and adhering to sterile and safety protocols within a high-acuity environment. The role requires a dedicated professional with strong clinical skills and flexibility to float within peri-operative services as needed.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, rotating 2x8 and 2x12 shifts (07:00-15:30 / 07:00-19:30), minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland (MD) or Compact Nurse Licensure, two (2) years of operating room experience, BLS and CNOR certifications, Epic charting system experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous community hospital experience, Trauma Level I or II experience.
• Additional Information: Floating within the specialty and peri-operative services, including preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as needed. Must adhere to vaccination policies, including seasonal flu vaccination.
• Responsibilities: Provide surgical assistance during complex procedures such as amputations, orthopedic, cardiothoracic, and trauma surgeries. Ensure patient safety and proper documentation.
• Certifications: BLS and CNOR are required.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in operating room nursing; first-time travelers with strong skills are considered.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, rotating day shifts.
