Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in Lewiston, Maine. This 10-week assignment offers a great opportunity to work in a Level III Trauma Emergency Care unit within a teaching hospital setting. The role involves providing expert nursing care for pediatric and adult patients, with responsibilities including management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drips with titration, and post-operative cardiac care, supporting a diverse patient population in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Lewiston, Maine
- Schedule: Nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM) with guaranteed weekly hours of 36.0 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications with Cerner experience; 2-3 years of experience in telemetry; all float requirements apply except in M3; experience assisting in ER settings is preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification is preferred; experience with cardiac stents, post cardiac procedures, and management of arrhythmias is advantageous
- Additional Information: Unit includes 27 beds with patient ratios of 1:4-5, utilizing equipment such as Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling hoyer lifts, and ECG monitoring. The electronic health record system used includes Omnicell and Cerner. The patient population covers general medical-surgical cases, pediatrics, dialysis, and cardiac procedures, including stroke and CHF management.
