Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician (Surgical Technician) position located in Saranac Lake, New York. This role involves supporting a multidisciplinary surgical team by preparing instruments and supplies, assisting during procedures, and working under the supervision of registered nurses. The position requires flexibility to participate in an on-call schedule for urgent and emergent cases, with shifts typically consisting of ten-hour days.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Varying shifts, Monday through Friday, 10 hours daily, totaling 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as an Operating Room Technician, a minimum of 1 year of broad surgical experience including vascular procedures. Candidates must have orthopedics experience and the ability to scrub for vascular cases, including taking call.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a broad range of surgical procedures, particularly vascular and orthopedic surgeries.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The surgical technician acts as a scrub person, prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures, and collaborates effectively with the surgical team to ensure quality patient care during operations. The role involves participation in an on-call schedule for after-hours urgent/emergent surgical cases.
