Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) nurse in Bloomington, Illinois. This position involves supporting pre- and post-procedure care in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab setting, working primarily day shifts. The role requires assisting with various cardiac procedures, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 12-hour shifts, with potential for occasional extended hours depending on case volume. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS, ACLS certifications; minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac laboratory setting; experience with admitting, preparing, and recovering patients from Cath, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology procedures; ability to read tele strips, titrate drips, and manage IV medications; knowledge of Philips monitoring equipment and Epic electronic medical records system; must understand OSF's drug-free campus policy.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with peripheral angio cases, neuro intervention, and EP procedures.
  • Career Level: No specific minimum years of experience required beyond the stated 2 years for qualification.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with possible stays late depending on case needs.
  • Cancellations: Policy allows for 12 hours' notice per 13-week period.
  • Additional Information: The position is located at 2200 E Washington Street, Bloomington, Illinois, 61701. The laboratory handles an average of 4-6 cases daily, including STEMI, stroke, drain, and line placements, as well as various heart cath procedures. Scrubs are provided, and a one-week departmental orientation (4 shifts) is typical.
