Job Summary:
Medicare Surgical Nurse (Medical Surgical Floor) in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This position involves providing patient care on a 32-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, urology, general medicine, and ENT. The role requires adaptability across units with a focus on resilience and effective change management.

Job Details:

Shift: 12-hour days
Schedule: Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin or compact registered nurse license, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ADN or BSN degree, and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical nursing. At least one completed travel assignment and experience with Epic charting are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
Experience: 2+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience required, including orthopedic casework.
Assignments and Operational Notes: The unit comprises 32 beds across three levels of care, including ICU, step-down, and medical-surgical units, caring for med/surg patients primarily. Float to units like Riverview, Plover, and Divine Savior may be required.
Additional Details: The position includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. Flexibility to float to different units is necessary. Candidates must be able to work resiliently and manage change effectively. Scrubs can be any professional-colored style. The contract includes set hours per week, with low census hours possible, and on-call requirements during low census periods.
