Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a healthcare facility in Wenatchee, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a caring and compassionate manner, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to unit standards. The position requires flexibility to float as a sitter when necessary, with a focus on developing and reassessing patient care plans and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Job Details:

  • Location: Wenatchee, Washington
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3 scheduled shifts per week, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Required to have a Washington State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
    • Adheres to healthcare facility policies and unit standards
    • Functions within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit standards, keeping current with legal aspects of nursing
    • Willingness to float as a sitter
  • Job functions:
    • Coordinates and delivers high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process
    • Develops, implements, and continually reassesses individualized patient care plans
    • Administers medications, performs nursing procedures, and treatments
    • Continuously evaluates discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
    • Documents assessments, care interventions, and responses accurately
    • Gathers patient information necessary for safe, high-quality care
    • Performs holistic assessments and responds appropriately to patient status changes
    • Executes nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
    • Educates patients and families with relevant health information, sharing written materials as needed
    • Maintains current knowledge of workflows, procedures, and evidence-based practices
    • Delegates appropriately and oversees care provided by non-licensed personnel
    • Participates in performance evaluation and quality improvement processes
    • Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team
    • Ensures a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital policies
