Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position located in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves providing care for adult medical and surgical patients in a 32-bed inpatient unit. The facility operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, with staff working every other weekend and holiday. The position requires flexibility to float across all medical-surgical units within the Fargo campus.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour Day/Night rotation, every other weekend and holiday; schedule may include all days or all nights per cycle, with flexibility for self-scheduling within the units needs.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of recent med/surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds), ND or compact state RN license, BLS certification (AHA), EPIC electronic medical record system experience, Level 1 trauma experience, and travel experience (not currently on a travel assignment).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with behavioral patient admits, experience using Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell; ability to float across multiple units.
- Additional Information: The unit cares for adult medical/surgical patients, including behavioral disturbances, with private rooms and gait belts/walkers for mobility. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights. All clinicians must badge in/out at the facility and wear navy blue scrubs. Floating to other units within Fargo is expected, and schedule balancing is performed to prevent frequent day/night flipping.
