Job Summary:
The healthcare professional will provide specialized nursing care in the Newborn Nursery at a facility located in El Paso, Texas. This position involves working during the night shift and caring for neonatal patients with a focus on stability assessments, medication administration, and supporting new families. The role is suited for dedicated RNs seeking a rewarding assignment in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Newborn Nursery (NN)
  • Location: El Paso, Texas
  • Shift Hours: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
  • Target Start Date: 07/13/2026
  • Number of Positions: 2
  • Required Qualifications: Texas RN license, NRP certification, BLS certification, no call required, at least 1 year of nursing experience, and ability to work the specified shift.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vapotherm and neonatal procedures.
  • Unit Profile:
    • Location: El Paso, Texas
    • Bed Count: 10 beds, with 1 procedure room, 2 operating rooms, and 4 triage bays
    • Staff: 9 employees on the unit, including day and night nurses, with staffing ratios of 1:3 and 1:1 for vapotherm
    • Equipment: Panda warmers, cribs, All NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) equipment, breastpumps (hospital grade)
    • EMR System: Meditch/CPN
    • Typical procedures performed: Apgar assessments, Ballard assessments, medication administration, vapotherm management
    • Dress Code: Galaxy Blue scrub tops and bottoms
    • Unit Policies: Available upon request
    • Employee profile: Stable, experienced staff; the unit hosts annual events such as summer picnics for Mother/Baby, L&D, and Neonatal teams.
  • Additional Information:
    This role offers the opportunity to work with new equipment and technology, with unit staff demonstrating tenure and experience in neonatal care. Schedule options and a collaborative team environment are designed to support a high standard of neonatal nursing care.
