Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in New Mexico, specializing in OB care within the labor and delivery department. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of care. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a busy labor and delivery setting, utilizing clinical expertise to support mothers and newborns.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating required
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery (OB) nursing experience; certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and BLS; educational requirements as per state nursing board and hospital policies; location in New Mexico preferred; 2+ years of relevant experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional obstetric certifications, experience with MedHost inpatient EMR, GE Centricity OB, and Athena clinic EMR systems preferred
  • Additional Information: The RN will provide care to antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum, and nursery patients. The role involves managing patient ratios of 1:1 on labor beds and 1:4 on postpartum and nursery, with no call responsibilities. Scrubs of any color, worn as full uniform without t-shirts or hoodies, are acceptable. No 48-hour weekly guarantees are approved, and blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
