Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Baltimore, MD. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care within a large teaching hospital setting, focusing on adult inpatient acute, tele, and intermediate care units. The RN will manage patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing advanced monitoring and clinical skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, 2 years nursing experience, BLS certification, IMC experience, and at least 1 previous employment in any capacity within the organizations healthcare facilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, EPIC, ACLS.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with high acuity patients, dysrhythmia management, ventilator experience, tracheostomies, Aline placement, titrating infusions such as Nitroglycerin, Insulin, and Heparin, and understanding of provider-managed pressors and inotropes. Orientations are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. The patient population includes adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring capabilities. Candidates with previous employment within the Johns Hopkins health system in any capacity must have completed a full year away from the organization before applying.
