Emergency Room Nurse specializing in trauma care is needed at a healthcare facility in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a Level 1 trauma emergency department with a focus on critical patient management, acute diagnoses, and stabilization procedures. Job Details:

• Position: Emergency Room Nurse
• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours each
• Schedule: 36 hours minimum per week, with shifts starting at 7p, 8p, or 9p; includes every other weekend rotation and holiday requirements. The position does not involve day/night rotation.
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Certifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, or TNCC certifications are required.
• Experience: At least 2 years of nursing experience in emergency care, with preferred prior travel experience.
• Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated. Must have general nursing skills and proficiency in managing vasopressor drips, cardiac drips, antihypertensives, and critical patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional information: Experience working in a teaching hospital setting is preferred. Knowledge of Phillips monitors, ability to interpret rhythm strips, and experience with emergency drug titration are essential. Float to other units is rare but possible to support department needs.
• Staffing details: The department maintains staffing with a minimum of three attendings, charge nurses, house supervisors, ED techs, and respiratory therapists. No call or standby duties are required for travelers.
