Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for an upcoming assignment. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with complex medical conditions, including but not limited to sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, and post-operative care. The position is located in Oakland, California, and requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing critically ill patients in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 32 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; California Registered Nurse (RN) license; 3+ years of RN ICU experience; 6 months of travel experience; experience with charting system Epic; ability to work in a fast-paced ICU setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, and LTAC experience are advantageous.
  • Float: May float to other units within scope of practice and to different campus locations as needed; all travelers should be flexible with floating responsibilities.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing; provide a 7-year work history verification; and submit all compliance documentation 10 days prior to the start date. Re-orientation may be required if previously separated for more than six months since the last shift. The assignment involves working with adult patient populations in a unit caring for patients with serious health conditions, including those supported by special equipment such as ECMO and ventilators.
